The Pipits: Amherst Island upcoming trip...

Hello Pipits!

Geordie and I are booked to stay Sat Feb 14 2026, at the Kingston Courtyard by Marriott, at 103 Dalton Ave. It is across from a Boston Pizza, and we'll have dinner there on Saturday evening. Everyone is welcome to join us there.

The rooms at Courtyard by Marriott are about $200/night.

Geordie did some research and found a few other hotels that may interest you. Of note, the Comfort Inn 401 is to be avoided - trucks run their engines all night in the parking lot and the noise can be heard inside the hotel rooms. 

Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Express & suites, and Days Inn by Wyndham are other options.

This will be a fun trip and hopefully we'll be able to see some Short-eared Owls at dusk. 

There is a farm on the Island, called Topsy Farms, and for those of you who are crafty, you may be interested in visiting their yarn shop. We may make a stop there during the day!

On the Sunday morning, we will visit Wolfe Island and see what we can find over the morning.
