Hi everyone,

During the Grimsby Wetlands trip, we were talking about good ways to use a camera sling strap while still easily setting up on a tripod. Here are a few things I've tried:
  1. Arca plate with a flip-up strap buckle: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07Y8JBWBD
  2. Quick-release Arca clamp: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07BMS4Z2H
  3. Arca plate with offset 1/4" socket: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01FQ3YRGI
When I'm planning to use a tripod, I prefer the clamp, because I can use it on both my lens (whose foot is Arca-compatible), and my camera body (with a regular Arca-compatible plate).

Hope this is useful!

Regards,
- Amit

Thanks Amit. I find the Arca plates super useful. I have one on my gear and can then easily move between strap for my camera, hooking the camera into a plate on my backpack strap (distributes weight across both shoulders) and easily putting it on a monopod or tripod. I use the quick release clamp you linked for those.
