The books are in!*
The
Yes, and...: Livre de Urban Improvisation pre-sale went far beyond my (Sean's) expectations. At the price I had to charge, I truly expected maybe half a dozen sales or something. But I had more than five times that! Which still isn't
that many, but it is enough to complicate the logistics a bit (like more than I can carry to the post office in one or even two trips). So sending them out is going to be a bit of a process here over this week.
But I thought some folks might just want to pick their copy up. You get it quicker; I save a little time. Find details on that below.
Either way, to celebrate the book's release, I'm leading a special
Wednesday-night Ouvroir de Urban Improvisation ride. Why Wednesday? Partially in deference to Friday's
Midnight Ridazz All-City Toy Ride. And then partially because we already have a
Completism ride planned for Saturday (Nathan will send out the details later in the week). And obviously we have a little history with Wednesday, even if that wasn't really a OUI thing.
You of course don't need to have ordered a book to come ride!
But if you do want to pick up your order, you can do it either before or after the ride. But you'll need to do that at my place (439 S. Hobart Blvd). I'll be out front from 8pm until about 8:50, at which point I'll close up shop, so to speak, and head over to the donut shop to start the ride. Or, if you prefer to pick it up after the ride, I'll obviously head back to my place at the end of the night. The ride is one-donut-rated, so I don't intend to keep us out too late.
At some point in the night, maybe I'll say a few words about the book? Though not really sure what those words will be. (I'll think of some words.) (Some book-release-y words, I guess.) (Sorry, it has been sort of a long day.)
Aaaanyway, hope to see you there!
XOXO,
Sean

FYI: Sadly, I won't have any adtl copies on hand to sell, if you want one and didn't already purchase it.
In fact...
* Well, most of the books are in. For some reason, the printer decided to short me three copies on my initial order (because nothing can be easy). But this won't effect the release; I have plenty in hand for local folks.
