Aikido in lockdown: March '21 edition

Hi everyone

There's a lot of hope in the air, along with the spring! We don't have a definite timeline for when the dojo will reopen yet, but with the announcement of the gov 'roadmap', the Sports Club is preparing a plan in response. Outdoor training will likely be possible quite a bit before that. We'll share details when they become available. In the meantime, we have at least this month still in full lockdown. Time to start stretching again in earnest?!

JAC AGM this week

The Joint Aikido Council is holding its AGM 2pm Sunday 7 March. All BAF members are welcome. The meeting shouldn't take longer than 1h 30min. Please email me directly if you would like the Zoom link and minutes from 2020. 

BAF membership news

A reminder that BAF has announced that members are welcome to choose not to renew any expired memberships until training resumes and will not be penalised when timings for gradings are calculated. We need to make sure our memberships are renewed before beginning training again, for insurance purposes. 

On a similar note, a reminder that we are encouraging everyone to also pause their regular standing orders to the Oxford club while we cannot train and to get in touch if you'd like a refund from dojo closure in April 2020.

Practice in lockdown

Informal outdoor practice in Botley remains on hiatus while we are in tier 4/5. Nick will send out details by email once we can resume. Maybe from April?!
