Hi everyone

We continue with live, in-person dojo training this month! As most sessions are well under the dojo capacity of 8, we will be opening training to new members.

No-one is under any pressure to resume training until they are comfortable. I'm waiting until I'm fully vaccinated, for instance!

Updated schedule
Our summer training schedule (still a little weird as the Sports Centre has restricted hours)
Monday: 16:30 - 18:00 Taken by Nick for now, Chris from 19 July
Wednesday 14:00 - 16:00 Taken by Nick
Thursday: 16:30 - 18:00 Taken by Graham
Saturday 10:00 - 12:00 Taken by Nick, Graham, or Chris

Once-off requirement
If you plan to attend any in-person training, email Nick on nick.b...@earth.ox.ac.uk  to let him know (email subject: Aikido - Restarting training - Your name). Your BAF insurance will then be renewed.

Booking a session
Dojo training sessions are restricted to 8 people, and we need to electronically collect basic COVID symptom information on everyone who trains.
Step 1: Book each session that you plan to attend through the website. You must book each individual session:  https://oxfordaikikai.org.uk/2021/06/23/covid-practice/

Step 2: On the day of your booked session, email Nick with email subject: 'Aikido - DAY DATE - name' and attach a completed symptom tracking sheet. Eg. if you have booked next Monday, your subject would read 'Aikido -  Monday 5 July - Jane Smith'. You must complete and email in a symptom form ahead of every training session.

At training
You will need to wear a mask to enter the Sports Centre, but can remove the mask in the dojo just before training begins. You are welcome to keep it on if you would prefer.
The Sports Centre has requested that we do not use the change-rooms if we can help it. We suggest that folks wear loose sports clothes, not keikogi, to make this easer.
The instructor will check that everyone attending has sent in their symptom forms before training begins.
Training will be distanced with no contact and will include regular breaks.
Please be reassured that all sessions are going to run assuming that we're all starting from scratch fitness-wise.

If you have any questions, please email an instructor or me, or come along to the virtual first Thursday hang-out on Zoom this week! As training happens and we spot the problems with the plans, we'll update you with any changes.

Virtual First Thursday
Virtual first Thursday is this week, Thursday 1 July , from 8pm on Zoom (diarise next month: 5 August). To join, follow our recurring link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87008778548?pwd=M3E3TXFaUVFaMDYwRVZDRjE1bHhMdz09

(In case you need this info, the meeting ID is: 870 0877 8548 and the password is 581577). To prevent Zoom-bombing, please don't post this link on social media or email it beyond known Club members.
