I think I've finally got the group set up. I had to delete the group "The Statesmen," unfortunately, and re-install it, and had to give it a new name so I called it "The Original Statesmen."

 

The new address is the-origina...@googlegroups.com , and you can visit that page and (later) upload photos etc. at http://groups.google.com/group/the-original-statesmen. If you have any language difficulties then you can ensure an English-language dialog by using http://groups.google.com/group/the-original-statesmen?hl=en (add the "?hl=3n") to the call.

Reading this in 2013, things never happened here because Google's groups became text monsters, no more photos, things dried up.
