I'm not certain that earlier members of The Statesmen would qualify for your project,
since you state that "...the guitars must have been played in any past performance in
the Cavern Club, Liverpool UK," and The Statesmen played in Germany and not in
Liverpool or elsewhere in the UK. However, I am certain that other Statesmen members
would be as interested as I am; maybe you can clarify things for us a bit with a
follow-up mail.
I am certain, however, that Author Graham Sclater, who wrote the valuable book
"Ticked To Ride," would be very interested and that he and you can most certainly be
of tremendous mutual value to one another. A brief description and link to Graham and
some of his internet activities can be seen on the Statesmen link page at
http://groups.google.com/group/the-original-statesmen/web/under-construction
and he can of course be reached directly via his mail address
gra...@tabithamusic.com. Graham was musically active in the "Star Club" and elsewhere
in Germany at the time that The Statesmen also gained historic significance, and his
book is a tremendous addition to the documentation of this great musical era in
Germany.
Please let us know if you feel that The Statesmen can truly "become involved" in the
M~S~W Project!
All the best,
Ralph
