Hi
I have today added a few pix of the Londonbeats in Germany 1964 -
sorry about the quality but my scanner is out of action and I had to
digitally photo the photos!
In '64 we played the following:
Weindorf in Kaiserstrasse Frankfurt, Ya Ya Club Luebeck, Tanz Cafe
Dehos Mainz-Gonsenheim, Halfway Bar, Idar Oberstein, Club 66
Wiesbaden, Ramstein AFB, Dixie Bar Aschaffenburg, many small dance
halls and theatres in the Frankfurt-Offenbach-Mainz area, Funny Crow
Hamburg, Top Ten Club Hamburg.

Glad you were able to register with the group. I'll put the photos onto a London
Beats page. If you can manage some larger and/or better quality pix it would be great
of course, so we can see the guys better. It's great to see photos of everybody again
after so many years.
It looks like you played primarily the same circuit as we did, probably because Fred
was managing both groups. He really made a lot of money with very little effort. We
did nearly all of those clubs too except for the Top Ten in Hamburg, where we never
did an official gig, and Club 66, where we were supposed to play but our schedule got
changed. We did some American clubs too, via the "Gisela Günther" agency, a guy named
Johnny McFarlan, a bass player, used to work with her. I was still in the army in
'64, we did the clubs in 1965.
This mail will land in our "Discussions" list on the page, maybe we'll awaken some
memories for someone who passes through...
