I too have enjoyed the Series 1.  I especially like the "out-takes" - Paul asking the little boy if that's his mum and dad, Philip Serrel saying that the box has lines like those on her face....

Although the newer Flog Its have more and better inserts, and it all seems better organised (although formulaic) it has been a breath of fresh air to see the first series of the programme.  I think they had some problems with sound levels in some of the early shows - I could hardly hear the experts talking over the general hubbub (maybe it was one particular venue).   And there are some proper nutty characters selling their stuff.  Do they edit those out nowadays?  People seem more normal.  Apart from you, Christine...tee hee. [ducks]

And I wonder how that teenager in a strop all the way through, showing her mother up, thinks to look back 10 years on and see herself.   Why did they keep referring to her sulking?  Better to leave her alone.  If I had been "in a strop" (or perhaps premenstrual) at that age I might have clocked them all one and walked off.

I have to agree that this series has been a great change from the usual repeats.I have loved very single show and hope that the next 'repeat' slot will continue with series 2.If this is the last week of series 1,are we to get some new shows next week?..That would be nice....

According to the Flog It Facebook site, the new shows start next year.

"A brand new series of Flog It is due to be broadcast early in 2014 on BBC1 - look out for it! There are lots of interesting stories and fantastic surprises at the auctions..."

Other than that, they don't tell us very much. Oh,there was this:

"We're all busy in the Flog It offices at the moment, editing Series 12. We begin filming Series 13 in the New Year, so keep an eye on our website over the next few months for details of upcoming valuation days from January onwards: www.bbc.co.uk/flogit "

Funny they should say that. I have it on good authority that the Flog It! office has been closed not busy! I feel that the emphasis has shifted to Trade Secrets......... at least for the time being.
