The Sheppard Lineage on the Island

So I definitely think there is something to the Sheppard lineage
linking them to the island.
First we Jack Sheppard whom we assume is the only family member to set
foot on the island.
And he immediately assumes a leadership role among the survivors.
But later we find that Claire is in fact his sister (via. Christian
Sheppard)...... giving birth to (Jack's nephew/Christian's grandson)
Aaron ("the little prince"....insinuating some sort of future
leadership role for the little guy).
I believe that Christian Sheppard has been to the island before in
some capacity....possibly with Dharma....or more likely in a
leadership or facilitator role w/ Richard and hostiles/others.
Then the crash of Oceanic, is his return...aka resurrection/
reincarnation....ala Locke style (what they are trying to do with Lock
by bringing him back in his casket) tromping around in white tennis
shoes.
I also believe that Ray Sheppard (Jack's Grandfather/Christian's
Father) has been on the island before...either in the military or as
one of the others/hostile crew...because.....When Jack goes to the
assisted living facility to talk to him, Ray declared his dislike of
the facility and said he would one day escape, claiming, "They won't
ever find me, either."
Now gee, where would they "never find" him?......

Anyway, hoping this will get fleshed out more as a possibility as the
show continues.

Oh....and I totally spelled Shephard incorrectly!

And just thinking of the last name Shephard though.....
the meaning of it-
someone who provides guidance, leads, herds.
just another thought and how that relates to the characters.
