This forum and my web site were created to help the beginner sky gazer find cool stuff to view with binoculars, telescopes, or just their eyeballs. What are my qualifications? Compared to your average Joe on the street I know a lot about astronomy. Compared to a real astronomer I know very little. I have no formal education in astronomy, but I have uncountable hours of research under my belt. One thing I'm pretty good at is taking complicated concepts and explaining them in simple, easy to understand language.

I've asked my friend Markopolo to join me here. He's been sharing his expertise with me for a couple of years and knows far more than I do about astronomy. (He even has some actual college level education in astronomy, but he's too humble to tell you that. Don't tell him I told you.) We both love research and between the two of us we should be able to answer just about anything.
