Thanks to all who came to the meeting on Friday night! We are looking forward to this week's area contest (Friday, March 19), in which club members Teresa Michaels and Bryan Sanchinell will be competing. Look for an email later this week on the location and other details.
In the meantime, here are a few announcements related our club...
Mentoring Program
The New Voice is starting a mentoring program to help members further develop their communication abilities and get oriented to the club.
- Need help crafting your first or next speech?
- Want some extra feedback and encouragement from someone who knows your strengths, challenges and personal goals?
- Would you like some guidance as you get oriented to The New Voice?
--> If so, sign up to be a mentee!
- Are you a good listener?
- Do you like to encourage and motivate others?
- Would you like to get to know a fellow member better so as to provide the help and feedback they could really use?
--> If so, sign up to be a mentor!
New Voice members can be both mentors and mentees (and you can be both at the same time). There are no requirements for being a mentor or mentee, other than willingness.
To sign up for either role, email Rick Sanford, rick.sa...@gmail.com with the role request and if you have a preference for a specific mentor or mentee. Mentor-mentee pairings will be announced prior to the March 26 meeting, as well as training instructions for mentors.
