If you've been to our club meeting in the past month or so, you've likely seen and heard Margaret Oppenheimer give one of our members a superb evaluation. A guest, she had been practicing for the District Conference Evaluation Contest, which was held last night. Well, a huge congratulations to Margaret, as she WON The Contest!! 

Next step for Margaret is attending the International Convention in Palm Desert in California this August, where she will compete with Evaluators from across the country and world!! 

Huge Congratulations, Margaret!! 

We hope you will come to a few more club meetings, so we can congratulate you in person... (and of course, benefit from your expert feedback)...

I just wanted to share some exciting news.. Our very special Margaret was the winner of the Evaluation Contest last night! All evaluators were excellent and it just shows the level of Margaret evaluations.. Margaret - congratulations.. You were great!!!  I have a couple of photos attached..

Margaret Oppenheimer did in deed give a wonderful evaluation and I'm
so glad
that The New Voice has had the opportunity to benefit from her
experience as
she's been on this journey. The Evaluation contest ends at the
District
level, and so unlike the International Speech Contest winner, Karol
Ward,
Margaret will not be competing at Palm Desert. Many Districts do not
have
evaluation contests -in fact the test speaker at our conference, Ben
Lappen,
who is the LGM from the Boston Region, had never even seen an
Evaluation
contest before, and had no real idea what being the test speaker would
be
about!!! Brave fellow.

Just wanted to clarify this for you all, and to join in your pleasure
at
Margaret's win.
