Folks, this is an extremely important time for all
of us in the media industries. Why? Because Texas faces major
budget shortfalls in a highly political season. Accordingly,
we in the film, TV, gaming, and associated industries are facing
an uphill battle in retaining or increasing funding for the
Texas Film Incentive Package. To maintain employment
for thousands of people and boost the industry in Texas, we all
need to become actively engaged in this process. So join us on Wed
Jan 26 @ 6 PM and get the latest insights from Paul
Alvarado-Dykstra (TXMPA
Central TX Rep).
Paul will discuss the struggle we face in keeping the Texas Film
Incentive Package alive, what we can do on an individual basis,
where we stand now, what's at stake, and more. He will also
present a Power Point presentation about TXMPA. It is extremely
important for everyone to attend this mixer and actively
participate in this fight. We snooze, we lose! So join us and do
your part to keep these industires alive!

We had a record crowd of 220-240 at the Mixer on Wed Jan 12! Having such a huge crowd in attendance proved all of you receive information about the Mixers and know where ND Venue is located. Needless to say, please attend all future Mixers. Why? Because information and networking are the key to moving forward in this business.
We extend our deepest thanks to our Guest Speakers on Wed Jan 12 - four passionate, hard-working, highly-talented, veteran Casting Directors: Beth Sepko, Donise Hardy, Toni Cobb-Brock, and Sally Allen! All are in high demand in the film, TV, and commercial industries, have numerous credits, and have the latest information about the business. If you work in the business in Texas, you will invariably work with one of these four fine ladies, and all four took time from their busy schedules to offer us their keen insights at this unique 'Four at one time and in one place' event. Thank you from all of us!!!
