Austin Circle of Theaters - ACoT - http://www.acotonline.org/Pages/Home.html - has recently become the greater Austin Creative Alliance and now is bringing the benefits it has provided for the theatrical community for 35 years to the rest of the arts community! ACoT has expanded its services and embraced a wider mission to serve Austin’s richly diverse and adventuresome creative community across all sectors.

AcoT’s Creative Alliance provides essential services and networking opportunities for artists and creative individuals, organizations, and businesses. Their creative community cited the need for advocacy, collaboration, marketing, professional development and capacity building. They are a new organization with new goals and they look forward to letting all of us know how we can become involved on the ground floor of this exciting process. The mission of the Greater Austin Creative Alliance is to advance, connect and celebrate Austin’s creative life in order to strengthen our creative economy and benefit the well-being of our community. Latifah Taormina, Executive Director of Austin Circle of Theaters. Under her leadership, the organization has provided services to well over 500 arts organizations and hundreds of individual artists in Austin and Central Texas. She created and established new internet presences for the organization, including a comprehensive online events calendar, NowPlayingAustin.com, and streamlined ticketing services, AusTix.com. She also pioneered an ongoing TV presence for arts events, the Austin Arts Minute, at News 8. Latifah has secured national grants for pioneering arts learning initiatives, foundation grants for equipment upgrades, and corporate sponsorship for key programs. She pioneered the successful national Free Night of Theatre program with Theatre Communications Group, and presents the annual B. Iden Payne awards for achievement in the Performing Arts. She also serves on the board of the Long Center for the Performing Arts.

Paul Alvarado-Dykstra is the Central Texas Representative of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance - TXMPA ( http://www.txmpa.org/joomla/) - the statewide industry advocacy organization for film, television, commercial and video game makers (txmpa.org). He is also co-founder of Fantastic Fest (named one of Variety's ten favorite film festivals in the world; fantasticfest.com), and Ain't It Cool, Inc. (aintitcool.com). He has worked with award-winning filmmakers Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy) and Tim McCanlies (The 2 Bobs, Secondhand Lions), Emmy-winning producer Scott Carter (Real Time With Bill Maher) and Oscar-nominated documentarian Frances Reid (Long Night's Journey Into Day). Most recently, he executive produced Jen White’s debut feature Between Floors (Winner, Best Director - Atlanta Underground Film Festival). In addition, he serves on the board of the Film Texas Fund and the advisory board of the Austin School of Film. He can regularly be found bowling at The Highball and/or on Twitter@robogeek.

Anne-Marie McKaskle is the Membership Services Director at the Greater Austin Creative Alliance, which means she serves as a primary point of contact for Creative Alliance members, including all Organizational, Sponsored Projects, and Individual members. She coordinates Free Night of Theater for the Central Texas Region and supports the Creative Alliance staff in coordinating the Get Your Art On Arts Awareness Campaign as well as the B. Iden Payne Awards. Anne-Marie also manages the Annual Auditions and provides assistance with City Funding Applications for the Creative Alliance Sponsored Projects. Additionally she manages membership renewal, and the development of new membership services.
