Our Guest Speaker at the next meeting of The Network Austin Mixer on Wednesday November 10 will be Michael B. Druxman - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0003694/. Michael is a veteran Hollywood screenwriter whose numerous credits over several decades include Cheyenne Warrior with Kelly Preston; Dillinger and Capone starring Martin Sheen and F. Murray Abraham; and The Doorway with Roy Scheider, which he also directed. A prolific playwright, his produced stage credits include one-person plays about Clark Gable, Carole Lombard, Spencer Tracy and Orson Welles. Additionally, Mr. Druxman is the author of twelve other published books, including several nonfiction works about Hollywood, its movies, and the people who make them. He has also written two novels, Nobody Drowns in Mineral Lake and Shadow Watcher, plus Family Secret, a non-fiction book co-authored with Warren Hull, which reveals the true facts behind the 1947 murder of mobster �Bugsy� Siegel in Beverly Hills.

An acknowledged Hollywood historian, Michael has also written television documentaries and has been interviewed for various retrospective featurettes that have accompanied DVD releases of classic films (e.g. The Maltese Falcon, etc.). Mr. Druxman is a former Hollywood publicist of 35 years experience who has represented many film and television stars, as well as noted directors, producers and composers. He has taught various dramatic writing and film appreciation courses in an adult university and is the author of How to Write a Story�Any Story: The Art of Storytelling, which has been used as a text in several colleges. A native of Seattle, Mr. Druxman has recently moved with his wife, Sandy, from Los Angeles to Austin, TX.

OUR LOCATION: ND Venue - 501 Studios - http://ndvenue.com/location/. The entrance is on Brushy St. between 5th and 6th Streets, one block east of the I35N frontage road. This venue is downtown, is large, has a full-service bar, and has plenty of free parking -- on-the-street and in the large lot across from 501!

7:15 PM - END OF PROGRAM(45 minutes to network)
8 PM - END OF MIXER

The doors open for the Poetry Slam at 8 PM, but it doesn't actually begin until 8:30 PM. Our attendees are invited to stay and enjoy the Slam and network.

We will only have one Mixer in November and one in December due to the holidays. On Wed Dec 8 we are honored to have Angela Rawna (Actress - Regina Howard on Friday Night Lights) as our Guest Speaker!
