Everyone:
Please post and share the following descriptions of vehicles/persons that were seen in the area and at the time of recent burglaries:
1) Older red or maroon vehicle, possibly an old Chev Cavalier, occupied by at least two male black subjects
2) Black small SUV, possibly a Chev Blazer, occupied by three male black subjects
Additionally, please do not discount any vehicle or person which exhibits suspicious activity. Always remember to consider the behavior more than just a description, because descriptions vary widely. There are incidents occurring for which there is no or very little suspect information. Please report everything to 862-8600. You are also welcome to send me a direct email after calling dispatch as a second layer of ensuring that the info is passed along.
Some things that you may wish to consider as to whether a person or vehicle is suspicious:
-Vehicles pulling into multiple driveways, especially where no one is home
-Vehicles parked in unusual places as though they are waiting on someone
-Persons knocking on doors and asking for someone who doesn’t live there, or saying they are looking for another address
-Vehicles traveling through multiple alleyways while persons are known to be at work
-Vehicles pausing beside storage buildings, items sitting in a yard, etc, esp when the homeowner is known to not be at home
-Persons offering to do work for cheaper than normal in an unsolicited manner
-Persons travelling around large areas of an apartment complex parking-lot on foot late at night
