Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your patience while waiting for information
about the next SharePoint User Group meeting. I want you all to know that
I have taken your feedback and suggestion to heart, and we are going to provide
a Virtual User Group Meeting this time through. Unfortunately, I have not
been able to schedule a physical location at all, so this month’s meeting will
be completely Virtual. So we are really going to get a feel for how the
Virtual User Group meeting works out on the first run through. I apologize
for the late notice of the meeting, but I hope that we will be able to have
great attendance, since everyone can just stay at home (or at their work desk as
the case may be). Please pass this invite to anyone you feel would be
interested, regardless of their Geographic location, keeping in mind there is a
200 attendee limit on the Web Conference. Following are details of the meeting.
Some notes
The Call begins at 6:30, and we will probably wait around for
15 minutes before we conduct business to give everyone a chance to dial in. All
audio will be via the Phone Line, so please dial in. There will be a chat
board available as well, and we will do our best to respond to questions as they
are entered, either during the presentation, or after the presentation.
During times that you are not talking on the phone, we would ask that you mute
your phone if that is possible, and if your phone does not have the capability
to mute, below are some commands on the conference line that will help. If
we can keep external noise to minimum, that will provide the best experience for
everyone.
During the call
*3 = Exit the conference call
*4 =
Conference instructions (plays menu of touchtone commands)
*6 = Mute/Unmute -
press once to mute, press again to unmute
Schedule
6:30 – Call opens
6:45 – Group Business and Announcements

8:00 – Open Discussion (Bring your questions and Issues for

Topic
SharePoint 101, Introduction to SharePoint
2010
In this session, we will present SharePoint 2010 to two core
groups, IT Managers and Key Decision Makers. Why do you want to have SharePoint
2010? Not only is SharePoint the fastest growing product in the history of
Microsoft, but it's one of the most powerful integrated collaboration
environments on the market today. If you know nothing about SharePoint, but are
remotely curious, I highly recommend you come and learn about SharePoint
2010.
