Friends,

Thanks for signing up to the mailing list!  I no longer have to worry about whether you actually want these messages.  No more laying awake at night.

And so:

We just need to set a date on the new EP.  It will be called Them Letdowns, and it will be free and we hope you'll burn it, copy it, ipod it, ring tone it, send it to your friends.  I think we can reasonably say something like, I dunno, July 31st.  More about that in a sec.

So we're playing this weekend, two shows in New Jerz, one in the north, one in the south:

w/ The McMickle Brothers and Frozen Gentlemen.

The McMickles are this fantastic garage-rock two piece that have all those great songs up on their myspace.  I know the words to at least four of their songs at this point.  The Frozen Gents are a SICK (as in "fly") disco rock band, and I can't wait to see them again, either.  You will dance your pants right off.  Adam did.

The second show, by the sea shore:

Not only are we playing in a place called "Chubbys", with yet more awesome, and particularly garage-y punk rock bands, but this place claims to have a Mechanical Bull. 

A mechanical bull.

So, we'll see you there then?

Oh, right, the last bit, about the EP and all:  I think we might release it Thursday July 31st because on Thursday July 31st we have ourselves a gig at South Paw, in the Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn.  This is actually kind of a big gig for us.  We were asked to play by Pale Nimbus, an incredibly talented band that sold out the Mercury not too long ago, and their drummer is none other than my old friend Sarah Tomek.  So, if you can make it out to Brooklyn to that show, it'd mean a lot to us, it's a big one.  You're in for a lot of great music, and there will be an after party, don't plan on going back home that night!  But if you do, be sure to get a copy of Them Letdowns.
