In fear of this page becoming a US styled tech head page: this is what
we currently use:

Chris uses and old Hungarian ply bass with a David Gage pickup into a
Gallien Kruger combo

I use a variety of flat tops : Lowden 012c with a Fishman Rareearth
pickup, Hohner Gruhn with a lace pickup (it also has a piezo system I
steer clear of) , Martin Mahogany 000 with a passive Rareearth or a
Maton EGB808 with the MP5 piezo (I have another active Rareearth to
install on this....) all direct into the PA

Dave currently uses an Alhambra electro Spanish into an AER spanish
acoustic amp...

but we play quietly so the electro element is there for sound
reinforcement, we also play completely acoustically too.. though these
days Im less enamoured with barking the vocals... so Im happier with
a PA.
