A heads-up from our gal Sa-Riot. Get your tickets now and get them cheap. Bands playing the fest include Faust, Os Mutantes, The Black Angels, Papa M, Bardo Pond, Shipping News, Rachel Grimes (of the Rachels), Mark Hosler (of Negativeland), Psychedelic Horseshit, and mo' mo' mo'. It's gonna be hot for sure. Riot's got the details below. Hope all are well.

Hey everyone - just wanted to let you know tickets for Boomslang - the WRFL sponsored 3-day multi venue festival in Lexington featuring Faust, Os Mutantes, The Black Angels and many others - are on heavy discount for one more day: $35 for a weekend pass; tomorrow, they go up to $50 (I'm trying to have it extended until tomorrow late afternoon, but I highly recommend getting them tonight just in case it expires in the morning!!!)
Individual day passes for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be $20, and will go on sale once we announce the schedule, mid-September. Student discounts will be available at the UK Student Center and at Buster's in the coming weeks ($40 wknd/$15 a day).
Dates of the fest are Oct 9-11; venues will include Buster's, Al's Bar, Hop Hop, The Void and more! Should have a post up on Blueline (my long lost child...) with more info this weekend, but in the meantime check out our informative website - boomslangfest.com
Also starting around mid-September, we will be taking applications for volunteers to work during the festival/get free admission...there will be a limited number, but definitely an option if you are hard up for cash :)
