Translating Jacques Lacan's Seminar IV into English

Jacques Lacan’s Seminar IV : La relation d’objet (The Object Relation) : 1956-1957 : has no English translation, not even on www.LacaninIreland.com.  It was published in French some decades ago. Greg Hynds and I propose to form a working group to check a translation by L. V. A. Roche which appears to have many gaps.

Our objective is to produce a useable translation for circulation to those who are interested.

The Method: To agree the pages of text to be worked on. Each individual member to check the text for inconsistencies. To meet regularly to find the relevant French text and agree the translation for the gaps.

The location and frequency of meetings to be agreed, but almost certainly the London area.

Hi Julia, my name is Mark and I am currently completing my doctorate on Lacan. I was wondering if there is a copy of the aforementioned text ready yet? I can only get hold of the faulty translation you have mentioned.

This is most helpful, I too am working on a dissertation on Lacanian Psychoanalysis and was referred to seminar IV,

when in fact there are no translations in English, minus in Spanish!   Anything is helpful :-)
