This question popped into my head a while back, but I figured I'd ask
it now that I'm thinking about it again. How long does everyone think
they'll be interested in the Harry Potter Universe? I'm sure there
will always be the people (a la Lord of the Rings) that continue to
write and read fanfiction, but I just wondered what the general
consensus is.

The reason I ask is I have even more plot ideas beyond Soul Nexus. I
don't plan on going after any of them because I don't want to take
time away from SN, but after I'm done, would anyone still be
interested in reading more?

I still read fanfiction from series that ended years ago, so that
should answer your question. Just because the official story ended
doesn't mean there isn't more than could be written for it in the
fanfiction world. Count me in for reading whatever you have cooked up
next.

Well that's good to hear. =) Soul Nexus is a long shot from being
finished (seeing as we've only covered a few months story time), but
working on other ideas here and there is a nice break from constantly
thinking of the same plot. Keeps things fresh.

I personally hope that the poterverse is frequented for a long time to
come, which isn't so difficult to imagine considering the fact that
the books are there for future generations to pick up, enjoy, then go
into withdrawal symptoms and turn to FF for their next fix :D. At any
rate, I plan on sticking my head into fanfiction for quite some time.

Right now the only fanfiction I'm reading is yours, but I'll probably
keep it up for quite a while.
