Jim Hansen the noted NASA climatologist and one of the first
scientists to warn the world about greenhouse warming has stated that
since the sun has increased in brightness by ten percent since
Jurassic times, hen all the CO2 now buried in the ground was in the
atmosphere heating up greenhouse earth; that it possible that if all
of that CO2 were let loose in the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels
that the added energy from the larger solar constant will cause
runaway greenhouse warming. It will cause temperatures above what the
dinosaurs lived in;
possible causing an unprecedented runaway greenhouse effect that
extinguishes all life on earth. I think it is improbable, but there is
cause to think we will be heating to earth to the highest temperatures
ever, unless we stop the runaway greenhouse effect through
geoengineering if necessary. We really ought to plan for that
possibility.

A Russian scientist named Israel has conducted a geoengineering
experiment using helicopters and trucks to spray airborne aerosols to
block sunlight, darkening the sky. It worked as planned and now he is
analyzing the results with computer modeling.
