Jedi Training

Saturday December 19th from 11:00 AM- 1:00PM in the Woodbury Room

Ages 7+

Come make your Light Saber and Star Wars craft, then test your skills with our Jedi obstacle course! Costumes welcomed and encouraged.

Morning Movie Matinee

Tuesday December 29th  10:00AM- 11:30AM in the Woodbury Room

Is vacation week cabin fever setting in? “Let it go!” Join us for a special morning movie for kids of all ages.


Seeing Ourselves: Abstract/Crazy Art for Teens

Tuesday, December 29th  6:30PM - 8:30PM  in the Crafts Room

Seeing Ourselves is an artistic exploration into the reflection of our true self through art: Spontaneous Collage, Intuitive Drawings, Self-portrait mixed media.

Rock out to crazy loud music, create your self-portrait (supplies provided), and discover how you see yourself in the world.

Reading Picture Books With Children: Storytime With Megan Lambert

Wednesday Dec. 30th 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM in the Woodbury Room

Local author Megan Lambert is a senior lecturer at Simmons College and is the creator of the Whole Book Approach to storytime. For nearly ten years Megan worked in the Education Department at The Carle. This work evolved into professional development programs and outreach work with schools and libraries in which Megan reached over 25,000 participants during her tenure at The Carle. In 2009 she was named a Massachusetts Literacy Champion by the Mass Literacy in recognition of this work. She will be offering a storytime at Jones Library for children and their caregivers.
