Friends,
A family member works for Taschen Books and let us know about their new, official Dr. No art books, strictly limited, expected to sell out immediately upon publication:
DR. NO ART EDITION, numbered 1-250, includes a Dye Sublimation Print on Chromoluxe Aluminum Panel, angle over Sylvia Trench looking at James Bond in the casino (as taken by Bert Cann, "It looks like you're out to get me . . . " on set on March 5, 1962
DR. NO ART EDITION, numbered 251-500, includes a Dye Sublimation Print on Chromoluxe Aluminum Panel, Sean Connery posed as James Bond in his Crab Key outfit with pistol, as taken by Bert Cann for a publicity portrait . . .
Like Taschen's THE JAMES BOND ARCHIVES, we know the new DR. NO ART BOOKS contain unique behind-the-scenes stories, posters, set designs, and stills and images never printed before elsewhere, from EON's own archives.
The price for each of these two new editions is $1750 (or €1500, £1500 or HK $13900).
We're not writing to offer a discount on these books, nor is my family allowed to disclose the book images and details we've seen from these amazing new titles.
Rather, the word is these will sell out fast, and we all know that means second-hand sellers charging above the cover price at eBay and live auction events.
So if you make a sincere inquiry, we will arrange for you to get a book(s) from Taschen direct (ETA next month in March).
Thank you, Matt and Janine
