Hi everyone,

The next session of the Hybrid Factory will be Tuesday, Nov 15th with Jennifer Borchard teaching us about influence.  We'll be hosting it Mozilla - Mt View at 5pm on the 3rd floor.  Jennifer is an assistant vice president and senior interaction designer at Wells Fargo.

Space will be limited to 40, so RSVP here: http://www.mogotix.com/events/5169 and tell your friends about it!

What is the Hybrid Factory?
A series of free workshops designed to promote the cross-pollination of UX'ers, Engineers, and Product/Business Strategists, so everyone is welcome, even your friends!

Each month, we will feature a different topic from UX Storytelling to Engineering to User Research, and each month we'll have different speakers and/or workshop facilitators.

Hope to see you there!

Hi Diane,

The info on the tickets page was talking about tomorrow's session focusing on how to be a tech lead with a featured speaker named Derek but this email talks about influence with Jennifer Borchard. Any idea which one is accurate?

Best,
Andrea

Hi Andrea
Thanks for pointing this out.

We had a change in plans due to Jennifer needing to travel for work.
Today's Hybrid Factory will be with Derek Parham, who was the Founder and Tech Lead for Google Apps!

He'll be talking about How to Be an Effective Tech Lead.  Whether you are a tech lead or not, his brief presentation and then break out sessions should be great to learn how to communicate with various people on your product teams.

Derek's Bio
Derek is an entrepreneur and technical leader with over twelve years of experience in software engineering. He is the founder of Google Apps for Businesses and served as its technical lead for nearly six years. He launched the project from scratch and helped grow the team of one to over one hundred engineers serving over 30 million customers today. The project utilized and developed some of the world’s largest scalable systems, along with shaping what is now referred to as "the cloud".
