Do you have a lab cross reference to go with the Wyle's chemistry book?
I attempted a cross reference two years ago and will be going back to teaching chemistry this fall.

Ultimately, I may switch texts as someone has given me a free copy of BJU's chemistry. Would you happen to have a cross reference for that one, too?

We bought your lab book and kit two years ago and started with Wyle's book. I am hoping that many of the chemicals will still be good.

Kind Regards,
Robin

We have correlations for Apologia, RSK4, CK-12, Chang, and Holt. We didn't do correlations for BJU or A Beka. Both of those are rigorous. We expected that many homeschool families would be using one of those texts, either of which is pretty straightforward to correlate with our lab sessions. We don't have a correlation for Wyle. IIRC, Wyle is even less rigorous than Apologia. My opinion is that brighter students are far better off doing BJU or A Beka than Wyle (or Apologia).

As to shelf life, yes many/most of the chemicals will still be usable, assuming you kept them tightly capped in a cool, dark place. Those prone to outgassing (like sodium sulfite and hydrochloric acid) may be less concentrated than nominal, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you and thank you for your opinion. I was feeling like the book we had started using in eighth grade was too light and since we have the BJU I think we will make the switch. Hope I Can figure out a good correlation.

Thank you again,

Just email me your address at thompson at thehomescientist dot com and let me know which correlation document you need.
