Side Quest 1 came to us through Animal Control, through no fault of her own, along with a few other adult cats. During her intake exam, our medical team discovered a concerning nasal mass on the left side that will require advanced diagnostics and specialty care beyond what BARCS is able to provide.
Ideally, Side Quest 1 would receive advanced imaging such as an MRI prior to surgery so veterinarians can determine how extensive the mass is and develop the safest treatment plan. Unfortunately, this type of imaging and potential surgical intervention is outside the scope of what we can offer in our facility.
In addition to the nasal mass, Side Quest 1 arrived in rough condition. She had severe matting around her neck, was emaciated, and was found to have fleas at intake. She has since been treated with Capstar and Drontal. Despite everything she has been through, Side Quest 1 has been an incredibly sweet and cooperative cat.
Side Quest 1 needs a rescue so she can get the care to give her the chance she deserves. With proper medical intervention and supportive care, we believe this kind girl will have such a bright future.
