Subject: Australian Cattle Dog Mix in Need of Urgent Placement at BCAS!
Meet Tuck!
Tuck arrived to BCAS as a stray on 7/28. He presented with significant FAS at intake, huddling under or near chairs in the lobby. His finder had only had him for under an hour, and reported that he was found wandering the streets in Towson. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate a chip to attempt reunification with an owner. In the shelter, he has continued to show signs of stress. With continued staff engagement, we have discovered that he may be housebroken. He is fearful of loud noises and prefers a quiet environment or he will become flighty looking for an exit. He does not seem to prefer one gender over the other which is a plus! Unfortunately, he has very little interest in food or treats, so we have not been able to observe any potential positive results from behavior modification meds. Due to behavior concerns, we are seeking rescue placement only at this time.
