Subject: Give Blizzard Lady a Second Chance! - Baltimore, MD
- Rescue Needed -
Blizzard Lady - altered female, 6yo, 56.4lbs
Blizzard Lady came to BARCS on 12/4 through no fault of her own, her family was moving and could not take her with them.
She is an affectionate, intelligent girl, but she can become fearful or defensive in certain situations, especially when restrained or pushed into a crate. Blizzard Lady has a history of resource guarding, including attempting to bite when items are removed from her crate. She also struggles with being left alone and may bark, dig, or display destructive behavior due to stress. In the shelter environment, she has shown avoidant behavior and sometimes resists returning to her kennel.
During her dog test, Blizzard Lady started with a quick, polite greeting before happily moving on to explore. Her playful energy came out quickly, full of cheerful bouncing and even a bit of bold, chesty contact. Despite her excitement, she remained generally friendly and tolerant throughout the interaction.
Blizzard Lady appears overall healthy, and a full medical summary can be provided upon request.
Please let us know if your organization can help!
