Subject: SWEET SHUTDOWN GIRL IN NEED OF BEHAVIORAL RESCUE AT BCAS

Sweet, shut down Olivia arrived to Baltimore County after she was picked up from an emergency vet clinic that she was taken to after she was seen frequenting the Lansdowne Skate Park in Halethorpe for over a month. She arrived to the emergency vet clinic with several ticks and was shutdown upon her arrival to their facility. Here at the shelter, she can often be found laying on the floor of her kennel by her karanda bed and doesn’t retreat or approach passerby’s, she just lays there.

When leashing and exiting her kennel, she has a habit of pancaking right out front of her kennel, but when she has a dog buddy to walk with her, she feels much more confident. Olivia loves the presence of other dogs and often seeks comfort from them. In an office space for decompression, she will lay quietly on her bed, usually under a table or in a spot that allows her to feel less seen. BCAS is seeking either an approved rescue partner to continue working on socialization with her or a foster to do the same. She is very shutdown and hidden in her cocoon at the moment, we are hoping that once she exits, she blossoms like the beautiful butterfly that she has the potential to blossom into.
