Meet Soji! This poor boy came to BARCS through our partnership with animal control after it was suspected that he was possibly hit by a car. Despite what Soji may have experienced he has been in good spirits and quite a friendly ham. He is a big boy with an even bigger heart! He enjoys attention and pets. He could use some work on his leash manners and walks better with a harness but given his size he is very manageable! Soji is a large lovely pup that would love to recover in a home.
Unfortunately, when Soji was examined by our veterinarian team is was discovered that he has a possible chronic partial tear of his cranial cruciate ligament. He may need surgery but this is also something that could be managed with a certified canine rehabilitation specialist. The surgery and management is not something that BARCS is able to offer at this time so we are hoping a rescue or adopter is able to step up and help Soji in his greatest time of need! Upon veterinarian examination it was also noted that he has mild bilateral hip dysplasia. Our vet team is keeping a close eye on him and we are keeping him comfortable on medications at this time. Soji even acts as if he is not injured, doing all the things a big handsome dog can do! Soji deserves a second chance after all he has been through and is it urgent that he finds and adopter or rescue!
A full medical summary can be provided upon request
