Subject: URGENT Rescue Needed! Obese Kitty w/ Heart Murmur! (Baldwin, MD)
Meet Boo! This kitty came to Baltimore County Animal Services as an owner surrender due to the family moving and not being able to take him with them. They reported that Boo gets along well with other cats but is not a big fan of kids. They noted he enjoys cat nip and is overall a sweet kitty. They said he is laid back and calm too.
Here at the shelter Boo is a little timid but we are sure the hustle and bustle of the shelter is alot for a senior kitty. Boo presented to our veterinarian with a grade 4 out of 5 heart murmur and overweight. It is recommended he be taken for a cardiac workup to determine the exact extent of any possible cardiac disease. Due to Boo's medical needs, we are looking to place him with a rescue immediately. Boo needs a Christmas miracle!Name: Boo
Age: 7 years old
Gender: male
Weight: 13.1lbs
Color: black/white
Breed: DSH
Health Concerns: overweight, grade 4/5 heart murmur, needs further cardiac workup. Full medical summary available upon request
Behavior: calm, laid back, shy, prefers a quiet home, positive history with cats
Available for Adoption through BCAS: no
Available for Foster through BCAS: no
Please let us know if you can help Boo, she is ready for immediate rescue placement!
Thank you,
BCAS Rescue Team
