Felicity A304316 playgroup assessment 12/5/25: She was nervous in her kennel but was able to get her out in the yard. She was easy to leash and collar and was reserved in the catch pen. When let into the yard she started to run immediately and had confidence. She initially was assertive with the helper dog at first interaction with slight hackles raised. After a couple minutes Felicity and the helper dog played in a push pull/gentle dainty style and gave respectful corrections when she was overwhelmedPlaygroup update 12/10/25: Felicity attended a push pull playgroup today where she had a lot of fun! She gained some confidence, and was slightly assertive at the start but quickly became comfortable. She enjoyed running around the yard and playing here and there. She is dog social.Felicity has really started to come out of her shell! She is still scared in her kennel and needs to be carried out, but once outside (especially with other dogs around) she's a playful zoomie queen!

Dog Assessment: Felicity is a timid but dog-social girl who is still decompressing and learning to feel safe. During her initial playgroup assessment, she was reserved in the kennel and catch pen but gained confidence once in the yard, where she began running and engaging with her surroundings. Her first interaction with the helper dog was briefly assertive, but within minutes she settled and transitioned into gentle, push-pull style play, offering appropriate corrections when overwhelmed. In a follow-up playgroup, Felicity showed clear improvement, gaining confidence more quickly, enjoying time in the yard, and engaging in brief, comfortable play with other dogs, confirming that she is dog social.
Outside of playgroup, Felicity remains very sensitive and fearful, especially in busy or unfamiliar environments. She is easy to leash and tolerant of handling, though she often needs help getting out of the kennel and may become overwhelmed by leash pressure. Once settled, she can be calmly left outside and shows curiosity, but she continues to need patience, quiet structure, and confidence-building support. Felicity would benefit greatly from a calm, experienced rescue or foster environment where she can decompress at her own pace and begin to feel secure. With time, consistency, and gentle guidance, she has the potential to blossom into a trusting and devoted companion.
