This happy, energetic guy came to us with a fractured left rear femur, confirmed by X-rays generously donated by a local veterinarian.

You honestly wouldn't know he has a broken leg by his attitude! He is bright, happy, energetic, and currently comfortable on strong pain medication.

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to provide the orthopedic care or amputation he may require, and keeping him in the shelter indefinitely on pain medication is not a humane long-term option.

🐾 We have introduced him to dogs through his kennel, and he has shown no aggression. A full dog-to-dog evaluation has not been performed due to his injury.

We urgently need a rescue commitment by 4 PM Wednesday, August 12. He needs a rescue able to pursue further treatment and give this very happy boy the chance he deserves.
