Rocky ID#: 59879313 comes to us after a cruelty investigation, we cannot disclose all details but he spent the majority of his time locked inside of a wire crate
He is very malnourished and will be on a re-feeding plan. He is still settling in with us and we will be working through some additional assessments later this week.
INFO - Rocky ID#: 59879313, 5 year old German Shepherd mix, unaltered male, 52lbs, HW negative. Dog assessment pending.
Behavior: 12/02 - Dog did well for intake, allowed for vaccines and blood draw. Interacted well with uniformed male officers and female vet staff members. 12/03 - Dog was less tolerant for thorough examination, appeared sensitive to face/head being touched, muzzled.
Medical: 12/03 - Emaciated intake. 1000ml of LRS was given SQ yesterday and P was started on 3x/day feedings with canned GI diet. Problem List: Emaciated (BCS 2/9). Dull coat, alopecia on dorsal thorax. Priapism. Crepitus in left stifle. Plan- Fecal: NPS. CBC: lymphopenia, monocytosis. Chemistry: Decreased ALP. Abdominal Radiographs: Decreased serosal detail, liver appears small, some gas and feces present in colon. Continue 3 times daily feedings with GI diet.
