I've come across this issue many times.  It's actually an intermittent issue; so just continue editing/saving and the problem will go away (and you can search again).

it had crashed before and after a new start in a file it worked, maybe some script or code saved in notes did something or size is too big then.

since a new start it is bigger and worked still then one day again it started to crash on a Full search. now it only will search a single page or crash on a global search.

is it just the recent release maybe? I have both portable and installed(2.0) versions both act the same way now.

I have a previous save at 54meg that will search OK. I was just hoping not to have to be limited on search limit of my file size.

This is work related and unable to release data as proprietary. I also do use the hyper links at times so not too many, I did an export to text and end up with about 600 pages of email notes, pdf notes, script info, commands to run, links are nodes,pages,doc.pdfs,urls, I have colored text also for pages and background of text at times, also icons for some books in my left pane.

Any ideas or help or a bug to clear up someday?

I have tried different things to still have the failure for even duplicating the older file smaller and works then finally out of no where it fails searching again with global and crashed program. using Win 7 haven't tried other platforms

This I feel for any note keeper with all capabilities this has if almost perfect and after trying any other found is not as easy or nice to have the features here, it amazes me this is back from 2008 and still we have no other good product, even keynote isn't as nice while testing keepnote seems really nice too while it fails searching as nice as the guide does. I wish I could code or pay for an updated newer version.

I have the same problem with it crashing when doing a global search.  But if you continue using/saving it, the problem goes away and you can global search again.  It's weird.
