Hi,
The Guide is throwing an exception very quickly after an initial
attempt to load one of my GDE files. Given that the Universe tends
towards maximum irony, it shouldn't be surprising that it is my most
treasured GDE file. If the Windows exception debug info would be of
help, I have grabbed that file but it is seriously hex and I'd rather
not look at it too closely. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem?
Are there any easy answers? If not, is the file format available... I
hate to dwell 'pon it but, given some format info, I might be able to
restore whatever has been damaged using a HEX editor. I think this
might be possible because I can see all the human readable goodness
when I am in a text editor (R/O mode of course!) and I do have an
offset (Offset: 00002220) provided by the exception summary.
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Evan Scott
PS: Is there any size limit on a GDE file? I hadn't noticed until this
incident drove me to pay attention to low level details, but the file
has grow to over 7 MB.
