I think I've managed to find Olympia Gradone's Ellis Island manifest...
http://ellisisland.org/EIFile/popup_weif_5a.asp?src=%2Fcgi%2Dbin%2Ftif2gif%2Eexe%3FT%3D%5C%5C%5C%5C192%2E168%2E4%2E229%5C%5CIMAGES%5C%5CT715%2D0093%5C%5CT715%2D00930291%2ETIF%26S%3D%2E5&pID=604024020083&name=Olenif%2E%2E%2E%26nbsp%3BGradano&doa=Nov+23%2C+1899&port=Genoa&line=0013
Line 13... It's a tough thing to read but it looks like further across
the line it says under "going to join a relative" Irene something...
Not quite sure how accurate this is but it might be.

I also had some luck digging from Ancestry.com... I found two listings
for our Gradone's...

April 1903 manifest from Naples to Boston
Elvira GRADONE age 20, single
Arturo GRADONE age 13
from Castelvetere going to join brother(father?) Salvatore
in Monson, Hampden, MA
Lined out - didn't sail?

Boston Passenger Lists, 1820-1943 Record info about Elvira Gradone
Name: Elvira Gradone
Arrival Date: 16 Jun 1903
Age: 20 years
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1883
Gender: Female
Ethnic Background: Italian (South)
Port of Departure: Naples, Italy
Ship Name: Cambroman
Port of Arrival: Boston, Massachusetts
Friend's Name: Sacoatore Gradone
Last Residence: Cassebretere
Microfilm Roll Number: 62

I'm guessing that Salvatore is the Gradone father. I've also
discovered today that in Italy, a woman does not take the husband's
name as is tradition here in the U.S. so it clarifies the Maria Nargi
who arrived with Michaelangelo to Ellis Island.
Any thoughts or ideas?

The attached e-mail which I sent to Michael Gradone a few weeks ago might
clarify....as I told Michael earlier, some of it is from records I have from
my security clearance when I was in the Air Force...the rest from an over
thirty year old memory. Dick Gradone

Hi, Michael
Sorry for the delay in responding, but I've been quite busy. I have put
together some information, and will paste it on this e-mail regarding Papa's
family. For the record, Mom's maiden name was DiNunzio. J Edgar was right!
Information on Mom will follow, as I'm still digging. I don't think either
Sylvia or Norma use a computer, but Norma's husband, Arthur, does. His
address is amar...@forsyth.org . Please feel free to call on me for any
additional information you think I might have. Please give my regards to
all........Dick

Stewart, a known Hollywood movie actor. Peg was a singer who had her own
nightly (15 minute) radio show on one of the Boston's stations. It was
called "The Serenaders and Peg LaCentra" and was sponsored by Gulden's
mustard. She also played the piano in the moving picture "Humoresque."

her best friend, Nanette Fabaray)

recall. They had a mens clothing store in Maverick Square, East Boston

Arthur B. Gradone - Lived in Orient Heights, section of E. Boston. He was a
small time building contractor. Had 6 children...Arthur, Mary, Vera, Sophie

I think in my e-mail I mentioned that Michael Sr came here and worked for
Ollie's husband, Robert. This was wrong. He Worked for Robert, but Robert
was Ollie's brother-in-law, not Ollie's husband. Frank was her husband.
