Hi All,

After a fairly successful first magazine issue and an extremely well attended seminar, we thought it would be a good idea to have an AGM.

We've said in the past that you don't need to come to meetings to be a part of the GIST, but this one is important, as we'll be deciding on our plan for the next 6-9 months (including issue 2, podcasts and more seminars), taking feedback on how we can do things better for all concerned and trying to fill some positions for the society. The society positions have some descriptions here - http://the-gist.org/2012/06/gist-roles/

In principle all of these roles are available, either as the sole person responsible or as part of a team with the current position holders. If you would like to put yourself forward, please come to the meeting! If you would not like to put yourself forward, but have some ideas on what we could do next or do better, please come to the meeting! If you want to be involved in any way with the GIST, please come to the meeting!
