Searching and Identification of Illegal Boilers and Illegal Manufacture of Boilers

This is with reference to the directives received from the Director General Labour Welfare) HR Department Govt. of the Punjab.
It is stated that two recent accident old boilers at M.A Dying industries Faisalabad and Century paper and board Mills Jamber Muktan Road District Kasur have resulted in the loss of 10 workers and numerous fatalities. The inquiry of the former accident (Faisalabad) revealed that boiler was un-registered but it occurred due to mal-operation.
Use of un-registered boilers and illegal manufacturing of boilers is a crim. In order to avoid any untoward future accidents, it has been realized that the illegal boilers and illegal manufacturing of boiler be searched out and strict action under the law be taken against the violators. It will be a contribution on the part of your organization to ensure safety of the workers.
You are, therefore, requested to arrange a survey to search out and indentify the un-registered, un-inspected boilers and illegal manufacture of boilers of the Punjab so that stopping/ sealing of those boilers by the Chief inspector of Boilers may be done under section 20 of the boilers and pressure Vessels Ordinance, 2002 and FIRs may be lodged against the illegal manufacturers under Pakistan Boiler Rules 2009.
