Dear Members,

This is with reference to the directive received from senior superintendent of Police Sector N-5  the promulgation of National Highways safety Ordinance-2000, maximum limits of axle weight and gross vehicle weights according to the number of axles were fixed in the 6th schedule, under section 43 of NHSO-2000 and National Highways & Motorway Police was mandated to control it under section 90 of NHSO by enforcing section 44 and section 75. (Copy of weigh Schedule NHSO-2000 is attached).

NHMP is paying the vigorous efforts in order to abrogate the violation of overloading by adopting gradual and rational approach. However, the efforts are not much successful due to lack of cooperation on part of various stakeholders, most notably the production unties. In order to save roads from premature damage and accidents/ incidents, your cooperation and contribution in implementing the axle load regime is of immense importance towards the safety of lives and properties of highway commuters.

AXLE Load Control Schedule According to NHSO 2000 is attached.

Regards,

GCCI
