I sure wish I had some way of locating a gay urologist here in the Cincinnati area.
I had prostate surgery a year ago and would like to be able to talk about my inability
to get a hard on without injections.  Any suggestions?
John

The urologist doesn't have to be GAY to advise on ED.

Hmmmmmm. Why do you need a gay doctor? Straight men also have the same problems with erections and both straight and gay doctors help them with medications and injections etc. Your being gay shouldn't make any difference to a doctor if he is a good doctor. It might help if you just assume that your urologist is gay/bi and proceed from there. My urologist is married with kids (so am I) but he doesn't blink an eye when I discus gay sex issues with him. He is very receptive and very professional. In general, I find that more men are gay-positive in a sincere, one-to-one discussion than you would ever believe. Best of luck in finding a urologist who you are comfortable with to help you!

John,

I had prostrate surgery in Feb. of this year.  I have been able to talk with him about my erections and have been told to masturbate daily by him to keep the blood flow.  He has also prescribed viagra and cialis for me to take on a daily basis.  I am 51 years old.  I feel comfortable with my urulogist and primary doctor and have talked about my sex life with them and they are both open and have been professional and say masturbation is normal and are willing to listen to me.  If you feel uncomfortable discussing this with him.  Write your doctor a letter and make an appt. so he can read it and discuss it with him. I have found that being honest and open about your sex life to your doctors is the best thing.  If you want to email me at ukjo...@gmail.com.

I can endorse this. As a licensed physician/M.D. I can emphatically
state that doctors, generally, do NOT have an issue with a man's
sexuality.
