The Garden Coalition needs enthusiastic people who want to participate in the beautification efforts throughout the City of District Heights.  We are trying to cultivate a community of people who are passionate about gardening and want to volunteer to participate in the appearance of OUR City.  We are embarking upon a special project that will bring pollinators to our communitiy like never before.  WITHOUT POLLINATORS, WE HAVE NO FOOD.....

At the intersection of District Heights Parkway and Rochelle Drive, you will notice some humble garden fanatics working on the daffodil bed that has finally finished blooming.  No we are not digging them up, we are planting our perennial pollinator attracting plants among the daffodils so they can grow and mature in their natural setting.  Come join us.  I am currently scheduling evening work days as our Saturday's are full with activities throughout our wonderful City. If anyone would like to help with the pollinator planting, please call 301-785-7507 or watch our Facebook page for planting date details (thegardencoalition -dh).  Ordered plant matierial should be in by May 23 - details to follow. This is a project that will continuie to grow as we create this area's first Environmental Corridor to bring nature back into our neighborhood.
