On Monday, February 16, 2015 the Silver Spring Garden Club will have Jan Johnsen, Author of Heaven Is A Garden, as out guest speaker.  If you have not had the opportunity to read this book or at least peruse through it, you have no idea of what you are missing. Initially the title was what captured my attention, but once I purchased the book, I was in love.  The author shares photos and minimal words to share how she came up with this title as well as hints and tips on how we can also have similar mindsets as we enhance our little piece of this earth. 

 

The Silver Spring Garden Club is currently meeting at the Takoma/Silver Spring Campus of Montgomery College.  The meetings are held in the Health Sciences Buuilding, Room 122.  Doors open at 7:30, and the presentations begin promptly at 8:00.  There will be a few books to purchase, as I know you will want to have this in your library to reflect upon, as you begin your 2015 garden journey (especially the chapter on trees) I am very excited about welcoming this well traveled and garden designer who actually GETS IT!!  Won't you join us???
