Minutes from the ReDBox TMC Meeting 25th January

Hi all,

Here are the minutes from the ReDBox TMC Meeting held on the 25th January.

1. Release of The Fascinator 1.1.3 to be released middle of February. Exact date to be advised.

2. Release of ReDBox/Mint to be released early March. Exact date to be advised.

3. The following features have been approved for inclusion in the 1.6 Release of ReDBox and Mint:

• Data Management Planning Tool
• Reporting, Embargoes and Ethics 
• Researcher Self-submission
• CAS Authentication Plugin for Fascinator
• DOI Minting in the Add a new Dataset workflow

4. There have been quite a few new developers starting up on the platform over recent months and documentation has not been ideal to help them get started and productive. This was due to a combination of relevant documents being difficult to find and in some cases out of date (e.g. due to move from github from google code). The following recommendations were made:

• Consolidate documentation sources to make it easier to manage
• Add a getting started document for developers that links together the How-to documents that are being developed
• Post to the mailing list to find out what areas are in greatest need of improvement

5. Question was put out to existing TMC Members about whether they wish to continue as members. Any wishing not to continue to contact Andrew.
