Hi Wayne ad Bill,

Sorry I could not attend the Forum on Tuesday, but I had family commitments and this time of the year is hard to organise.

Another problem with a lot of the business is the rent that the Land Owners are wanting to charge some shops and this is the reason that Oh Me Oh My and Montaze left the area.  The summer time is fine but it is hard to get through the winter.

As for the Markets being held on both days this also makes it difficult for some businesses as money spent in the markets is money that does not come to the businesses in town as people only have a certain amount to spend and the marketeers take business from the shops for a low rent of aprox $15 a day for prime space on the waterfront.

I also know of at least three more shops that are ready to close their doors very soon, which once again leaves the town with more empty shops.
