As discussed at both meetings, the Town Centre Management has some
outdated policies that have simply lost the plot ... here is a
classic ! ... It happened 4 days before Xmas, a peak trading period
for the shop owner.

Another example of Town Centre Management not seeing The Big Picture. Small
Business is the backbone
of Australia yet on the Central Coast time after time I have seen walls been
put up from the council
& other organisations to the detriment of small business.

For too long the Town Centre Management has bee blaming the operators for
poor performance. How many
Are they going to Blame. The Entrance has become the Bermuda Triangle for
small Business. It is about
time Centre Management put its hand up and started taking some
responsibility instead of going into
defensive mode.

Change....
Einstein quoted" You will not solve current problems with the same thoughts
that created them"
That's right we need to get out of our comfort zones and implement change.

Suggestions...
Stop giving away freebies..you attract people who don't want to pay for
things...

So with the Fireworks why not have areas where people can donate towards the
growth and development
Of the Entrance after all it belongs to them.

Four paying events a year eg ..The Hunter Valley low season is in the summer
so this is when they stage
"Opera in the Vineyards" Taronga park zoo in order to raise funds has music
events of a week end night eg
James Morrison..

Why couldn't we do the same four events for the four seasons..

We need to think outside the square we need to let personal needs go and set
goals towards the success
of the entrance

What on earth is the council doing interfering with Business the whole
structure of TCM needs to change
They can maintain the Entrance (after all isn't that why we pay rates) but
the actual promotion
Of The Entrance needs to be given to the Business Owners. If someone
bothered to check with other
Coastal towns this is where the trend is.

Just one more thing....can we get over the Pelicans and move on.

This is my opinion
