Hello everyone,

perhaps there is some confusion about what will happen in the Monday
Meet-up now and what part I will play so I'll try to explain things as
well as I can...

1) I give homework, that is a passage to read for the week.
2) Everyone reads it while asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
making notes on words, phrases, ideas, etc. in the text that remind
them of other Bible texts (we are trying to put the puzzle together).
(Note: record the location (chap(s) & verse(s)) of the word, phrase,
idea, etc., what it was, what it made you think of, and the location of
this other text in the Bible.)
3) We meet and discuss what each of us have found.
4) We decide as a group what are the most promising leads to follow for
next weeks homework.
5) We repeat steps 1 through 4 until we are sick of this study.

My role... I see myself as more of a moderator for our discussions. I
will perhaps provide more guidance and have more control over the text
we read at the start but as each of us start to discover more by the
leading of the Holy Spirit we will read more based on what looks most
promising to the group.

So the main points are that this is a Bible study so it is open ended
in that we will all be adding somewhat equally to the discussion
especially more and more as time goes on. However it is a focussed
Bible study so I will be here to make sure it does not go off track.
When it does I will bring it back on and focus it once again.

Since our Bible study (the weekly homework Bible text discussion) is
focusing on prophecy and the end-time (sharpening our swords) we should
try to keep extra topics relevant to this focus. That is why I
suggested discussions/presentations in the area of history (prophecy),
current events (signs of the time), etc. Also these extra topics will
be in the minority compared to the actually Bible study. The majority
of our time will be taken up with an open Bible running from text to
text, comparing and discussing.

Any way, I hope that clarifies things a little. I hope it does not make
this study sound too focused and boring now. If it does then I
apologize for not explaining myself better. Please email me and tell me
if that is the case though and we can discuss it.

God bless everyone and have a good nights rest...

In Christ,
James

One last thing....

Perhaps the notes discussed below should be sent to the list as soon as
they are available. For example: you could send the notes on a per
chapter basis or just send them all together as soon as you have read
the homework reading. I suggest this because your notes might actually
lead someone down a train of thought that would not have had otherwise.
Even if you don't decided to send them to the list (which I would
recommend) before Monday, at least try to send them to me before then.
I can perhaps then at least collate them and print them up.

p.s. If you can't tell... I am getting very excited. The thought of
really starting to fight the good fight and of being able to go home
with many many other souls in your and my life-time is so amazing. :)
Let's work on getting those swords sharpened and let's get this battle
over and let's get on our way home.

Hey James,

How are you doing? It seems like you've been very busy writing e-mails today!
Anyway I just want to thank you for your devotion and hard work and tell you that I'm really happy with this initiative. I will do my homework by God's grace.
Rey, pretty good suggestions...
Let's keep it up guys and fit ourselves in the 144 000!

May God's peace be with you,

Michele

P.S. We should tell Keith about this.
